Today we’re heading north to the historic university city of Uppsala, Sweden, home to Uppsala University, one of Scandinavia’s most prestigious academic institutions. With its blend of tradition, student culture, and vibrant community, Uppsala offers a truly unique student experience.
Meet Isabelle, a Business and Economics student at Uppsala University, currently focusing on business. Having called Uppsala home for the past two years (since the very beginning of university life) they’ve become part of the city’s dynamic student scene.
Don’t be surprised if you spot students walking around in tailcoats and evening dresses, colorful coveralls, or even dressed up as cows in Uppsala, there’s always something happening! Between the quirky traditions, student nations, and endless events, there’s never a dull moment.
What makes Uppsala stand out? Its amazing student life. There’s always something to do and plenty of reasons to celebrate, making it a place where studies and social life come together in perfect balance.
In this blog, Isabelle shares what makes Uppsala so special from its academic spirit to the unforgettable student traditions that make every day unique.

I’d love to say I hit the gym after class, but more often than not, we end up in a bar instead – not that I’m complaining! From organized dinners to casual events, there’s always something fun going on here.
