Brice has spent the past two years living near Roubaix, a city with an industrial soul and a growing student energy. It may not have the sea breeze of the south, but its authenticity and sense of community make it stand out. As locals like to joke, “We don’t serve half pints”, a phrase that sums up the straightforward, full-hearted spirit of the region.

What makes Roubaix different? Its mix of cultures and its location at the crossroads of France, Belgium, and Germany, creating a vibrant, international atmosphere.

Between classes at EDHEC, coffees with friends, and spontaneous trips across the border, Brice has found his own balance between study and discovery. In Roubaix, every day offers a new perspective, and a reminder that student life can be just as rich north of Paris.

My days usually start with a quick breakfast before I hop on my e-scooter and ride to EDHEC, the best way to wake up and get moving.

After a few morning classes, I meet friends at the cafeteria for lunch; it’s our daily break to chat, laugh, and unwind before the afternoon. I often stay on campus afterward to work on group projects, grab a coffee, or just hang out a bit.

LateIn the evening, I either go home to study or meet up with friends again, sometimes for a drink, sometimes just to relax and enjoy the student atmosphere around Roubaix.
