Today we’re heading to the sunny capital of Portugal, Lisbon, home to Nova School of Business and Economics. Between the ocean breeze, colorful streets, and endless viewpoints, this city offers the perfect mix of culture, sunshine, and student life.
Meet Laura, a Management student at Nova, who has called Lisbon home for the past three years. “A city with wonderful history, food, and environment, you can really have a full experience,” she says, perfectly capturing its spirit.
What makes Lisbon stand out? The balance between energy and calm. You can finish class and be at the beach 10 minutes later, or downtown in 20. It’s where the rhythm of a capital city meets the relaxed vibe of a surf town.
In this blog, Laura shares what makes Lisbon so special, from study sessions by the sea to evenings exploring the city’s charm.
Reach out to Laura, she’ll be happy to share her experience and insider tips! casanovaparentelaura@gmail.com

A typical day starts with a quick breakfast at my place and a train/car ride to Carcavelos.

Classes at Nova SBE usually fill the morning, then lunch with friends at the on-campus canteen or just in some spot on campus with homemade meals.

In the afternoon, I’ll study in the library or one of the campus terraces, then head back to Lisbon for dinner or drinks.
