Today we’re heading to the heart of Germany’s wine region : Oestrich-Winkel, home to the European Business School (EBS). Between the vineyards and the Rhine river, this small university town offers the perfect blend of community, nature, and student life.
Meet Esther, a third-year student studying Law, Politics and Economics at EBS. With only around 2,000 students, campus life here feels more like a close-knit family than a bustling city where everyone knows each other, and lectures often end with a coffee overlooking the water.
In this blog, she shares what makes Oestrich-Winkel so special: her favorite cafés among the vineyards, the best study spots with a view, and the lively parties that bring students together under the stars.
Reach out to Esther, she’ll be happy to share her experience and insider tips! Esther.paetzold@gmx.de

My days usually start around 9:00 a.m., when I wake up, grab a quick breakfast, and head to class — sometimes on campus, sometimes online.

Afterwards, I meet my friends for lunch/coffee.

In the early afternoon, I head to the library which has a stunning view of the Rhine and the nearby vineyards, or I stay home to go over lecture notes or work on group projects.

Later in the afternoon, I often take care of tasks for the clubs and associations I’m part of like organizing
events, writing emails, or planning meetings. EBS has a lot of active student clubs such as EBSMUN, Invest, Symposium, and even Cheerleading or Soccer teams, so there’s always something going on.

By 7:00 p.m., I usually have dinner with friends. Most evenings, you’ll find us at a campus party, a cozy house gathering nearby, or just enjoying the night in the beautiful vineyards.

Love !!❤️
