Today we’re taking you to Stellenbosch, a sunny university town surrounded by vineyards and mountains in South Africa’s winelands.
It’s a place where historic streets and leafy campuses meet a lively student spirit. Days flow from lectures to coffee catch-ups under the trees, and weekends are for wine farms, beach trips, or hikes in the mountains.
Chrissie shows us how life here feels warm, social, and full of adventure — a town where studying blends effortlessly with sunshine and community. Welcome to Stellenbosch university, where student life truly thrives. Reach out to Chrissie for more questions or if you want to connect!: chrissieduplooy@gmail.com

Mornings in Stellenbosch start slow and sunny, with breakfast at the apartment before lectures and a quick coffee break on campus.

Afternoons are for focus. I often studie at “the Bib”, the main university library, before heading out for a walk or workout in the late afternoon.

Evenings in Stellenbosch are all about balance — sometimes a quick drink in town, a fun night out, or a cozy evening cooking and unwinding at home.

On weekends, I love spending time outdoors — hiking around Jonkershoek or Coetzenburg, or taking a short trip to the beach at Caves or Dappat se Gat
