Grab your sunnies and maybe an iced latte, we’re heading straight to Sydney, a city where skyscrapers meet beaches and studying somehow feels like living in a postcard.
Meet Sam, currently diving into commerce and marketing at Macquarie University. Born and raised in Sydney, he didn’t have to cross oceans or pack a suitcase to find his place, the city has always been home.
So, what makes Sydney special? Sam calls it a modern oasis: a place where every neighbourhood has its own vibe, where café culture is basically a lifestyle, and where the water is never too far away. But what really sets Sydney apart from other student cities is its people, a community that’s warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. Whether you're grabbing brunch, checking out a new restaurant, or heading to the beach after class, there’s always something happening and always someone ready to make you feel at home.
In Sydney, studying doesn’t just shape your future, it shapes your lifestyle. Got more questions? Ask Sam at quinlan.samuel@gmail.com

So I wake up at my university college called Dunmore Lang and I head down to the dining hall where I just scoff my face with food as I am usually spending long hours on campus just hanging with mates or attending lectures and tutorials.

Sometimes if I don’t have any classes on in the morning I like to catch the bus or drive to Manly Beach with some friends and go for a morning surf and grab a coffee after. Or do some sports.

A typical day in my life usually ends with catching up with friends — whether we grab a pint after class, relax at the beach or get ready for a night out together.
